PS3 Jailbreaking

    Wondering if anyone is interested in learning... spent like 6 hours catching up to the scene the other day now I'm playing online on latest fw. (4.46 at this time)

    I'm creating this topic as a place holder and anyone responds I'll edit and write out a how-to.

    The PS3 hacking scene is pretty inactive. not much comes out. I have a hacked PS3 myself. if I remember correctly I'm on 4.41 Rogero. Multiman for my backup manager and shitload of PS1 classics installed from pkgs.

    The only way you can jailbreak your ps3 to my knowledge is if you're 3.55 and down.

    Yep, thats right. You first need to identify if your PS3 can actually be jail broken by looking at the SKU and comparing it to the chart.

    Then, you'll need to downgrade to 3.55 and install the CFW. Latest is from Habib 4.46 CFW.
    Afterwards, you can ftp all your games (psx, ps2, ps3, psn) to the hard drive and enjoy. :) I play some games online too when I'm bored.

    Not all ps3's can be downgraded so just a heads up on that.
