Well I decided to finally get a Mac since I been a windows person from day one. I'm having a problem loading the music that I backed up to external so I can load to the internal drive of the mac. I loaded the music on the mac after I did the _serato_ folder first. After finishing loaded I seen all the music on the mac music folder. I open serato and all the music was there with crates.. I have unplugged the external and all the music and crates disappear. Something I'm not doing right. I'm trying to load to the mac internal drive. I had no problem doing on the windows laptop. Oh I could play all the music from the mac without the external drive hooked up thru iTunes

It’s quite simple to do. The reason why your crates still shows is because your external hard drive has the folder with serato files created in it. The first thing you need to do is transfer all your music to your Mac and put it in a folder that you like. At this point you have two choice first one is to remove the External hard drive and create Serato crates all over again. That way you will not use the external hard drive anymore. Second choice you can copy the serato files that are created on the external hard drive over to the Mac hard drive to the serato file on the Mac this way your crates will be identical to your external hard drive without the use of the external hard drive. You may have to let Serato relocate the lost file or broken link files to learn the music new location. Hope that helps
