Mac Osx Install Problem

    well my powerbook had a spinning beach ball icon and so i shut down the comp and now it has a flashing question mark so i order a mac osx 10.2 cd for $58 when i insert the cd it went to the installation but a problem showed it ask for Select Destination to install Mac OS X but my hardrive dont show up i install a new hardrive and it still didnt work so i put the old hardrive in and it still didnt work can somebody help me

    i would take it to the apple store let them diagnose your problem.
    why did you buy a 10.2 cd for dont you have the original os reinstall disc?

    call technical support

    im 95% sure none of use own a mac or ever dealt with one.

    hopefully warranty covers it.

    you should include your self in that category because warranty is wayyy over for a powerbook and also he cant call technical support because he would need applecare.
    support is over after 90days. 1 year warranty unless he has apple care!

    take it to the store

    i got the comp off ebay so if i have applecare its going to cost like $300 for 2 years and for $58 ill get the 10.2 cd tiger cost $120 for a cd so ill download tiger off a torrent and boot that later after the 10.2 is install but it wont find the hardrive

    so you just bought this powerbook?? off ebay?recently?

    if thats the case looks like you got conned.

    also if its a powerbook applecare is no longer avaible for it.

    no it was working fine but when i upgraded the hardrive i got this problem

    6 years... i think you should buy a new one...
    keep in mind that its better to pay alot and buy a great computer
    rather than pay a relatively expensive price on a ***** pc

    could it be the hardrive the hardrive pins look like it was tamper with so ill buy a new one

    do you think if i buy a new hardrive it could solve the problem buying a new harddrive
