I'm sure many of you guys have amassed a vast musical library. How do you access your stored music? Stream through the network at home? Update your iPhone via iTunes periodically? Plug in a USB stick/Memory Card in your car that you update? Burn cd's?......

When I drive, I like to have access and be able to stream my entire music collection. I have been recently using PLEX to access my stored music at home and play it while i'm out. It's not a perfect solution.

What have you guys been doing?

Thats a great idea, especially if you have a large apple ecosystem. My problem is that I primarily use Windows/Android devices.

    I don't LOL

I just put a bunch of .mp3s on my phone and play it from there. I should really learn how to use PLEX, though.

Get a separate (low power consuming) computer , or even a raspberry pi, to set up as a server. Connect your music storage (external or internal storage) to your server and put on the host. Create a safe encrypted pathway and enjoy your music!

I uploaded my library to Youtube Music. You get 100,000 free uploads. Anything greater requires a subscription.

Remember to keep local copies of your music though (external hard drive), as Youtube Music doesn't allow you to download your library unless it's for offline listening.

You also have to organize your music before upload (album, artist name, genre etc), because you cannot on Youtube Music.

Other than those set backs, it's a great free tool.

Icloud or any cloud saving apps. Such as one drive, mega, etc and then just download what you need.

Dude I am old school, 2 Sandisk 2 TB drives do the trick. My iPhone with 500GB can carry me through a party if needed

If you have android, have the songs on 512gb sd card but if not have it on 512gb usb. I think you can use Microsoft one drive too it gives you 5gb free.

Yeah, I recommend using it. I use all the time. There is an app can called Plexamp which is designed for music. (Plex Pass Required). I have my Plex Media Server running on my Synology DS920+ NAS and it runs smoothly. You can also run it on PC also.
