alright i have a Toshiba L300D-028. It had vista on there but i uninstalled it and installed XP, with all the drivers etc...

My Only problem was that i was unable to find the driver for my video card which is a ATI Radeon X1250. On the website it is only listed under vista, and before i try anything, i'd like to know if it would be safe to try it under xp? thanks

  2. Hmmm what kind of Toshiba is it? Toshiba Satellite? Give us the full name. You didn't give us the right model #. Is it a new model? I have a Toshiba Satellite L300D and the drivers weren't released when I got my laptop...but since its an ati card you can manually install the drivers this way:

    http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownlo...3.3.1.3.1&product2=2.7.3.3.1.3.4&lang=English

Is it XP 32-bit or 64-bit?

Extract the exe somewhere and I think it will automatically install the software and drivers....If it says something like your card isn't compatible with these drivers then do this:

Device Manager --> ati card ---> update driver --> browse my computer for driver software ---> Let me pick from a list ---> have disk --> point to the directory where you extracted the EXE
