I have a nephew and he wants to go to college. I myself never gone and only know about local and the big expensive colleges. He wants to do mechanical engineering and I was telling his papa to send him to community college first to save some money. What would you guys recommend we living Queens,NYC, but I am willing to help pay if he wants to go out of state. Also if you guys had personal experience with a certain college.
I don't know anything about NY, but here is a list of 60 or more colleges and community college that might help. Before he starts, ask him if there is a company he likes to work for? if so, call that company and check what it takes to get that job. Would a regular community college or maybe a trade school college qualification good in order to get that job? Majority of jobs now these days look for mostly experience in the field.
