OS X Mavericks as my main and a bunch of CentOS 6.5 VMs.
Go with an iPhone especially if you already have an iOS device. Plus its simple.
I usually use MalwareBytes, but I've also used AVG.
macbook pro line. can't beat it.
I ususally use VLC. The name may be a bit misleading. It also plays audio files.
Try a Mac with an open mind and you will never go back. I've uses all three Macs, Linux and Windows. Can't say that I really liked Windows at all.
