Sting 2008 - Kartel Vs. Movado

I'm surprised nobody posted about this clash yet. Anyways happened at Sting on Saturday. I personally thought Kartel took it, but it seems like others think different. Watch and lets see what you guys think.

Clash, Vybz Kartel vs Mavado: Sting 2008, The Winner Is?

Now that Sting 2008 is all said and done, who came out triumphant? Sting was wrapped up early Saturday morning with a head to head battle between Mavado and Vybz Kartel. Both men displayed hits after hits hoping to end all confusion of who is superior. So enough said, who was victorious? Lyrically, Vybz Kartel seemed to shut out Mavado, who had many silent moments of almost awkwardness. Mavado then gained many points after responding to a comment Vybz Kartel made about his mother, which many onlookers saw as a line that should not have been crossed. After both artists departed the stage, Ninjaman added a little more excitement by declaring Mavado the winner, with the audience’s approval. Although Mavado was declared unofficial winner, anyone who watched or will watch the clash will find it hard to rule out Vybz Kartel as the apparent champion. This is clearly a war that is not complete. We are thrilled to see how this clash will unfold in the days to come.

kartel won, although like it said, there were lots of quiet moments when kartel was going at it. to me both kartel and movado are on the same level, kartel wid the the hard ass voice lyrics, flow and movado with flow and lyrics. hard to decide who is better cuz i listen to both of them LOL

 

damm this is what Sting clashes come to, this is got to be the worst dj clash I ever seen, nothing to get hype about this. And what the hell happen to Movado , for some reason he seems nervous, look like he couldn,t even come up with lyrics some time. It goes to show you ,half of these dj dem might be great pon record but can't perform live pon stage. That why de Ninja is the best I ever seen live hands down.

 

movado freestyled half his set. kartel could only counteract shit that movado already made. when he started to freestyle kartel aint know what to do. movado walked off cuz kartel couldnt come up with anything.

 

That's what I'm saying, this clash was definitely overrated. And Movado did look nervous, its like as soon as Kartel came on stage he seen the devil or something. I'm pretty tight that Movado would always cut off Kartel, you see Kartel getting mad too when he kept saying "CAN I PLEASE DJ ME SONG?" lol

 

Vybz Kartel, did win.

All of you who is going for Movada, cause of his songs & how ever you like him. He suck to me.
I only like a few songs by him.
As for my boy Vybz Kartel, he took it all the way.
You all must have to listen to Vybz Kartel, they way he spit, the say he sing, all of his songs are good.
No one has a chance with Vybz Kartel, he is biggest reggae singer out right now for the Riddims, and freestyle.
Movada doesn't be in that many Riddims, Vybz Kartel is almost all of the 2006-2008 Riddims.

Vybz Kartel has a crazy hits list. Vybz Kartel is my favorite Reggae singer, No one can beat him. He comes out with new songs all the time. If they were, freestyle between them two, Vybz Kartel, would had been took it from his first spit and make Movada choke.
I know I did not watch the Sting cause of the quailty it all ****ed up. I will wait till someone put a better version up.
So all of you Movada fans out their, sorry but Vybz Kartel, took it.

Are you kidding me? Sizzla is one of the best reggae artist out there. He would shit on Kartel. Look over the years what Sizzla accomplished, and he been in the game longer. You can compare Sizzla to Kartel.

 

Yea I would had to agree with you yea, but Sizzla, was a beast around the 80-90, have you even listen to his 2000 music their shit, he isn't better like before, if he goes up with Kartel, Kartel will kill him.
Listen to all of Kartel hit music and put them with Sizzla, I bet you will pick Kartel out of him.

 

I just think that these two are in way different categories that they shouldn't even be compared lol. But honestly, Kartel is a friggin' beast, who you know can go up against the whole Alliance and still kill them niggas with lyrics, because lets face it Portmore Empire is not all that nice except for a few like Black Rhyno and Shawn Storm. Kartel holds that shit down by himself and the Alliance still has a hard time taking them out.
