Hello everyone I just want to know if anyone have own a German suv and how’s the reliability with them I know majority are lease which is the smart thing to do in my opinion but just want to know if anyone ever had any problem over the years once they go over 36,000 miles? Also Land Rover
Stay clear of Land Rover, I know 3 owners, 1 who still is an owner but wouldn't buy one ever again and the other 2 had no choice but to get rid of them, 2 engines blown and they were different models and ages, gearbox replacements, electrical issues, the list goes on. I've had an X5 and had no issues with that during ownership and was the same case for friend who had a Q7, so from that list of 5, Land Rover is a no and the two German vehicles are the ones to go for in my opionion
Hey Ameer, I 2nd what Raven said, stay clear of Land Rover. I had 2013 X3 for three years and just had to do the regular maintenance. I just recently converted to Genesis GV70 and it has been a dream thus far. It just might. I took advantage of the rise in used car prices and traded in when I purchased the GV70.
Leasing it is I’ll just let the person that buy it when I return it deal with the problem. I’m pretty sure the leasing price for the gv70 is similar to the German vehicles. The dealer told me the poor get them after the rich lease them and I don’t think dealer make much when someone is leasing since the vehicle is new and it’s still under warranty but they make money when the second owner has to take it in to do maintenance and buy warranty especially Land Rover. I guess but I don’t know any wealthy people that have purchase used ones but I don’t want to own especially since they depreciate faster I rather lease Germans and return after the 2 or 3 years so I don’t have open the hood but that’s just me.
My pop sells Mercedes and the used SUV market for those is huge. People love those cars. You'd be suprised how many people have a lot of money. A lot of rich folks buy used MBs. They buy them cash, sell and trade them after a few years. I prefer to lease too the way the residuals are, you can always buy at the end of 3 years.
