So I just bought a new Macbook Pro and it only come with USB-C inputs/outputs. I bought an adapter piece (USB-C to USB 3.0). I plug the adapter into the Mac then I plug the NS7 USB connection then plug the other end into the back of the NS7. When i plug everything in and power on the NS7, the Mac don't recognize the NS7. I downloaded all the latest drives and Serato DJ and the Mac is up-to-date. Did everything Serato said to do to make the software work with the Mac but still nothing. Has anyone had this issue? Need a fix for this ASAP because I have gigs coming up soon! Pics in included so you can see what I mean. ^^This is how the USB-C looks on the new Macbooks Pros.^^ ^^ This is the adapter piece (USB-C to USB 3.0)^^ ^^Standard Numark NS7 cable^^
Its a known issue. Here is an article from Serato explaining how avoid the issue. Let us know if you get it to work. https://support.serato.com/hc/en-us...ls-w-Touchbar-can-result-in-connection-issues
Read all that and did everything it said to do. Still nothing. Probably going to have to find a work around for now until serato or numark or mac come out with a update or a patch to fix the issue.
My Vestax VCI-380 stopped working with my Mac (2015 MBP) a few months ago. I would connect but then lose signal after a few minutes. The unit works fine on my Macbook air and my Windows pc. The work around for me was using a USB hub, it now stays connected without any issues. On side note my Macbook works fine with newer controllers and Serato boxes. Let me know if you figure out the issue.
Well I talked to Apple this morning and end up buying the hub they make for the new Macs now. So I'll have to try and mess around with it when I get some time and see if it works or not. IF anything I'll just have to borrow or buy a Windows laptop until I figure the Mac out. Thanks for the help and advice. I'll let know when I test if it works.
