how do you protect your computer from Ransomware?

 

Prevention: Patch your network components and computers
Recovery: regular backups on external media (test recovery periodically)

 

Sophos Intercept X can detect Ransomware before it harms your computer. There is a cost for it though

 

I just use the free avg computer scanner. Never had a problem....but the free software keeps asking you upgrade to a $$ version which can be annoying.
