Hi guys So I am just starting up a little system and wanted to know your thoughts on whether it makes more sense to buy some used EAW boxes or get someone to build them. Let me know
EAW cabinets are one of the most detail oriented cabinets. Its design is hard to copy. Starting from the plywood used to build them its not regular. Its baltic birch with a resin to seal it from leaking and cancelation between chambers. I would recommend getting original cabs. there is a reason why they cost what they do. If you pay someone to copy a design and it doesn't work right you just waisted that money. Don't get me wrong , you can copy cabinets and they sound great but not EAW . Listen to original and you will hear for yourself. Most people sell EAW copies because they tried to save money but it doesn't sound right and now getting rid of them. Take my stupid advice. I ve been in the game 19 years now.
