Macbook Pro Memory Cleaner

    Does anyone use a memory cleaner on there macbook ? Does it help or does it just slow the machine down?

    Have you tried CCleaner? They make a Mac version too it does registry clean up, and I believe the company that makes it has a defrag tool too so you can see what's taking up your drive.

    I use CleanMyMac 3, it works very well and it doesn't delete personal sensory data, it has a maintenance tab where it runs scripts to help boost your computer and it also has a shredder that permanently deletes data you don't want to recover.

    Look at what is taking up the most room. When I had this issue it was my photos and video. I uploaded all of my pics and vids to google and deleted it off my mac. It cleared up more than 1/2 my space.
