Looking at buying a new car next year and I've been comparing the: AMG CLA45, BMW 235i and the Subaru STI. I was looking at factory performance, price, looks, comfort and after the factory warranty is up, tuning/modding. What does everyone think?

Ok, for one I have been looking at these but comparing the new vehicles. There are a lot of differences. I am looking for a new car but more of just browsing since I drive a IS300. CLA45 was one of my choices but it is a 2.0 Litre Turbo fully built motor 9:1 Compression I believe. It has 355HP which is a ton of power. For that price point i would personally opt for the GLA45. if you were looking at mercedes. BMW 235i is a good choice, it is made of fiberglass so your not verywell protected but BMW is known for their motors this model I believe has an inline 6 and is rated at 320 HP. Good choice and I guarantee you that there will be mods like the JB4 etc... Subaru STI. The new subaru look the same but have a smaller displacement motor its a 2.5L 4 Cylinder turbo. If you were to opt for the STI I would personally go with the older year because you are getting a better motor with bigger displacement and it is not a 4 cylinder. all in all best motor out of all is the BMW 235i. Here is why the Mercedes is already topped out at 355HP you can probably squeeze out a few more horses to hit 400 but that would be your top end because its a 2.0T Turbo plus if you really wanted to make serious power you would have to have a bigger turbo etc... However, the 235i its a inline 6 bigger displacement bigger motor and you have more room for more mods to make big power. The Subaru is a 2.5L I would opt for the older style and mod the living shit out of it. This is why I went with a Lexus IS300. Its a 4 door with and has a 2JZ Motor 3.0L Straight 6. Stock Aristo Swap 320HP. I am working on body for the moment before I start modding the motor but for now the motor is in pristine condition and shape and runs like a mammoth. So for you for your taste. I would pick up a 2007-2011 BMW 335i and buy a JB4 pnp chip, intake, blow off valve, down pipe etc... and take a look at the power that you would make. Google JB4 BMW 335i and do some research. Don't worry about that DINAN shit its garbage and way too expensive lol... Trust me I turned down some jobs at BMW but I prefer to work in the medical field.

M235 hands down, I own a 335i and after my warranty was up I modded the hell out of it, easily pushing North of 600hp with less the 4k invested
