How much does your printer ink cost? and how long does it last? I have an HP C3180 All in One printer, and I'm starting to think about buying a new one. Its becoming too often that I am buying ink in my opinion. It costs me about $40 for new cartridges, and if I just want two cartridges of black, $30. These prices aren't so bad, but they're running out really quick, with me replacing cartridges about 3-4 times a school year. Its very frustrating when I have that big project due and when it comes time to print, my last few pages are dulling out. So.. How much does your ink cost? and how long does it last?
Honestly I have a laser printer and it the best investment printer wise. I had a few good all in one printers and the ink goes like crazy.I bought my laser printer on black Friday for like 50 dollars and only have to change the ink once a year. The ink is like 30 dollars which is not bad a year, but if you want to go for a all in one Brother Brand is a good one their ink last a good while. What I do that saves ink is usually use my laser printer for the black and white documents and use the all in one for color. So this way it saves the ink and cost you less of having to replace the ink every so often.
Ink jet printers use a lot of ink to clean the heads, which it does everytime you turn it on. There are places that you can buy discount ink from like Cartridge World, but generic ink can mess up the heads (clog) and ruin the printer. It sucks that the ink sometimes cost more than the printer. Like everyone else says, laser costs more, but it last a lot longer.
