    any comments on the hp dr dre beats laptop , in terms of competing with the mac

    i dont think the dr dre beats laptop are anything special, the dr dre beats part is only for sound, someone correct me if im wrong though, i wouldnt waste my money on a laptop just because is has dr dre beats on it, your paying for the name, you can get a well built laptop by any other manufacturer(i reccomend hp), competing with mac-well youll have to compare the performace of your laptop to the ones on a mac and see whats better and what not, whatever suites your performance needs.

    How could u even compare a hp dr dre laptop with a Mac? Idt any brand could beat apple.
    I myself have a Sony, going to upgrade to a Mac. Just saying ;)
    @sheriff, yes for the hp dr dre laptop, u just paying for the name.

    Elite Books are pretty good, great processor, never crashed on me yet, and has a reboot system if anything goes wrong.. pretty good i say

    i currently use my hp g60-458dx and serato for djing, its good enough, 4gb ram, 2ghz intel core 2 duo, i do plan on selling this and upgrading to a intel core i5 laptop with aleast 6bgb ram, later on

    has it ever failed on u.... reason being i want to buy sl 1 or 3.... so i want a good laptop.

    nope my laptop has never failed, if i were you, i would definiltly go for the intel i3, hp dv6-612ous, but thats because i dont like amd. i prefer intel all the way, its good stuff.

    Definitely get the i3. AMD doesn't perform as well, and serato performs better on intel processors. AMD processors should just be erased from the Earth.
