So i have a dell v305w printer/scanner, the printer works fine but when i try to scan something it says "Downloading Application List" then after a while it will says "Cannot Retrieve Application List " i tried re installing he drivers on my computer(xp) but it still doesnt work, anyone know how to fix this?
I had a similar problem with a Brother fax/printer/scanner. I found if I use paperport, instead of the buttons on the scanner, it worked. Did your scanner come with another software?
i didnt know it came with a software until yesterday when i was searching, i tried that to and it didnt work
try downloading and installing the latest drivers form dell itself here: http://support.dell.com/support/dow...D=PRN_INKJET_V305&os=WLH&osl=en&catid=&impid= make sure u uninstall the printer completly before installing the new drivers, and select your version of windows appropriatly on the dell webstie, before starting to download drivers.
