    Hi all. I was having some trouble lately with my laptop. I had to re-install my os. Everything went well but except i am having a little trouble with the some drivers. I am running win xp in a little old but serves it purpose Gateway laptop. In the device manger it has a ? mark on the mass storage device which i assume is the hd (a hitachi 60 gig) and network controller which i assume is my wireless connector considering i can connect to the internet with a cable.

    I don's need much because i store everything on an external.

    I have tried the sites but nothing.

    I tried calling but nothing.

    Any help will be so greatful

    thanks

    i had a similar problem with drivers that stressed me out for weeks. i ended up used driver genius pro

    but the link is down now... probably you could get the person who uploaded to re-upload. or you could try getting the drivers from the manufacturers website.

    thanks. I tried the gateway sites and even chat with them. They were some help but this last two is a big issue. Since the HD is a replacement they don't want to mess and the network driver on there site, i have downloaded and try.

    thanks again

    What's the exact model of your laptop and the two drivers you are looking for? I may be able to get the drivers.

    Did you download the chipset and the other drivers?
    try this: http://www.intel.com/support/chipsets/sb/CS-022034.htm

    click on Download listed under Intel Chipset Software Installation Utility. then on the next page that opens choose your operating system and click GO, then on the next page that opens download driver , etc.

    Information on the chipset audio driver is located here;

    I have a Gateway Mod. MX6214. I need the network driver for my wifi and the mass storage controller, I had to change the hd to a Hitichi.
