yeaaa, i recently bought a ps3 and havent gotten a tv cuz i dont got money so i bought da hdmi-dvi cable to hook it up from my monitor to da ps3 to play directly.. it finds da hdmi and asked to use it and i press yes and da screen goes blank! =/ the monitor doesnt say "signal not found" and the screen is on and runnin.. my monitor is a Acer X191W. i did madd research, says my monitor supports w/e. dunno wat da prob is. I NEED HELP ASAP. .. thanks in advance =]

Is the monitor HDCP compliant? if not, it wont work. You can try resetting the video settings to default by turning on the ps3, then holding the power button on the front of the system for a few seconds till it resets. Try googling ps3 hdcp, there's a ton of responses. Good luck.
i tried all dat.. heard prob everything.. iono was da prob wat i aint doin riite. n iono if its hdcp.. i googled up madd sht 2day. probably been on 50+ pages still nun =/ fckin toysrus aint even wanna take da ps3 back [ n i sealed it up nice n everything ] lmao
buy your self a lcd tv then, sony bravia's only run for about 1100, saves the trouble of playing on a little ass screen.
yeaaa i kno.. jus gottaa get dat gwap 1st cuz imaa young'n.. gottaa look for a job. on da meantime i wanna take da ps3 back 2 toysrus buh they wudnt take it. sed da seal was open which was a piece of tape! and it looked open from da start. mhm.. any ideas pplz?
