    Hi....

i've a Lenovo 3000 N100 laptop with Windows Xp professional sp3 loaded........it's almost 3 yrs old...my laptop battery was giving problem since last 4-5 mnths......back up time lowers significantly.....but at least it was running on battery for 1 hr....

from last week, suddenly, the battery power indication light in laptop is not glowing and if power goes, laptop suddenly shuts down.....no warning...

do i have to replace the battery or is there any process to check the battery condition?

you can check by removing the battery pack and power the laptop on using the power cord.
if it's all good, then you'll need to replace the battery pack.

Most likely the battery needs to be replaced. Remember, every battery regardless of they're use, can only be discharged/recharged a certain amount of times before it reaches the end of its life cycle.
