I'll be purchasing an iMac in the next week or two, so I've been looking up info etc. I just had a question for the mac users on the site. How do you have your speakers setup? (those who have multiple speakers). I have the Logitech x-540 system & it has 3 wires that need to go into the computer for all the speakers to work. Would there be any cheap solution to this for the mac? Seeing that the mac has 1 audio port. All comments/help appreciated.

    Thank you,

Yes I have been, which is why I posted here to see if anyone has any alternatives or if they could direct me to a sound card. I could go out and buy any usb sound card but not all will work with the mac, but maybe someone on the site has had some experience with this. Thank you both for your input.

A lot of retailers that have that product are discontinued. I'll see too look around on eBay or something and find one. Thanks again for your input.

a three way splitter might not be such a good idea, you should check around for a usb sound card or firewire. also if you can you should get a mac pro they're easier to upgrade in my opinion. with imacs your locked to the same graphics/processor and no way to upgrade or add cards
