Re: Remix Contest Round 2: Reggae For Young & Old

i give the market what they want. i reply to the demand because 10,000 cd sales dropping to 1,500 changed ALOT of things. If i made a cd based on something i loved, ie. 5000/10,000 that payed for it will like it, now that the numbers have dropped, i wanna try please as much as the 1500 as i can instead of only pleasing 750. Although i'm filling requests, I am still doing the ONE thing i love which is remixing... ***** or not, i'm doing what I love to do.

Wow, Is that really even a sensible thing to do?
You guys really must think your contest is really that important for us to blow off whatever else we have to do, to mix for your contest.
Listen I'm not trying to explain myself to you, or whoever it may concern, but this week i really was busy, not to mention my boy passed away. I was planning n doing my mix, but i had better things to do, but go ahead and be "professional" and ban me along with every who bailed out on your crappy contest. Heres a tip
Don't host a musical contest if you don't know shit about music.

And for all you keyboard feens, type away.

We are trying our best...to run this contest very smoothly....if you put effort in something....and you don't get anything for in return...then why is it the worth trying to do our best for you?

    1. You might be busy...okay...well everyone is busy....I know...you couldn't see this coming....but...if you know you can't do it....then don't enter...and keep complaining like a little child...

    2. Condoleances on the death of your ''boy''. You was planning to do your mix, but you had better things to do....seems like you don't even wanted to do this remix contest?

    3. Crappy contest.....Is that so?well i guess it was crappy enough for you to enter...

    4. You're the only one that kept complaining like a little child...like you spoiled too much...didn't get much belna when u was young rite?

Take example...of the other contestants....which did hand in their remix....they might have thought too..damnz..wha kinda chunes are this?....but they didn't complain like you, did they?

And don't host a musical contest if you don't know shit about music......how can you say that..when you still that young and yu mama still washes your jockey?

And for all the little kids that didn't get too much belna...type away!

i'm sorry you think i act 4 years old "VeX", i'm just showing my OWN way of manning up and deading out this dispute. cause i do complain alot but that's just my way of trying to understand stuff that's not ethical enough to be understood. you guys are banning people who don't do a contest mix? this week just happened to be a week that was important on my part, i just don't think that's right considering you already know background knowledge of why i'm not even online. that's just abusing your powers. and not to forget the fact that the contest material was a bunch of songs that had no point in remixing. therefore i wouldn't downgrade my style in mixing something no one would even want to listen to mixed together.

i'll leave the skills to extacy and trigga cause they look like they have the courage and vision to go forward to the end of this contest. can't wait.

no hard feelings, just do what you must man.

Re: Remix Contest Round 2: Reggae For Young & Old

Did yu see us banning people for not handing in their remix?..Who said we actually gonna do it?...It's little boys like you that had made us to make a rule like that

bla bla bla...cry cry cry....Dj Extacy and Ziggy did remix it....its nuttin bout courage...it's bout wether you can mix or not...apparently you can't...was it the greed for the money you entered this contest?

If thats so....why enter this contest? pull yu pants down....hold a sign above yuh rasshole with this message: Pleasure for $50....and yu'll be $50 dollars richer inna few min!

I liked trigga's mix, although it seemed TOO aggressive for those classic tunes.

I don't Mixx4u, or anyone. In the beginning of acidplanet days everyone was into hearing indian and soca and chutney remixes. I came on with reggae and MADE people like it. Who says I can't do it with a cd? I aint gonna focus my DJ career on making cd's for old people that's gonna die in a few years. I rather give my generation music to listen to. Those old people you make cd's for wouldnt even remember your name just the songs on the cd. Ask a young person and a old person who's their favorite dj or cd. The young person would remember a dj name or crew name, the old person would jus say, o that orange bhariat cd with the gyal in front. You want advancement. Don't hustle backwards.

Re: Remix Contest Round 2: Reggae For Young & Old VOTING!!!!

    Heres what I think :

SupaKid - i like how u studdered that bam bam in the begining. but i didnt really like how living in love came in. when da hold yuh beat nd da hot this year came it in blended good wid living in love. plus i like da studdered wen u studdered da hold yuh riddim. however, when night nurse came in i didnt really like it after that. overall this was a aright mix. 5/10.

Tr3v - i like how ur beat wen wid the begining of the song. nd that add on at 22 seconds. i like the studders frum 1:09-1:19, sick idea. idk if dats a kustom beat or not, but i liked the concept of it. it had a good style. wat really killed it to me is wen u studdered bam bam. so i wuld say u deserve. 7/10. oh nd dat laser u shulda just put a delay or sumthin its a lil annoyin, but its alright.

Trigga - YOU KILLED IT. NICE BEAT SELECTION AND STUDDERS. 9/10.

FreeStyle - The 1st beat u used flowed good. except on dat song at 0:23 seconds i really didnt feel it on that song 2 much. the way u gapped at 44 seconds was hottt. esp the studders dat came around 47 seconds. at 1:03 i didnt like how it sounded dere. on youths dem a get so cold u shulda changed ur beat to somethin lil faster nd more hype. it doesnt really sound good wid dat reggeaton beat. eh i give it 6/10.

Paco - You killed that hold my hand song. nice studders on that. that word play was sick wid u dont love me. i love how u made saddest day come in. didnt really like that party like a rock star beat wid that dont rock my boat song. but liked how u used that plugin at 2:10. i'd say this mix deserves a 8/10. good job.

Starbai - I think u shulda have had better beat selection wid hold my hand. dat beat sounded good wid love me or leave me. i dunt think dat champion beat sounded right wid money in my pocket. this mix was a kinda sloppy to me. but certain stuff came in good. 5.5/10.

DevVv - I liked ur mix. but it was kinda short. but still nicely done. 8/10.

Extacy - lmao nice vocal in da begining. i liked how u had ur beats wid ur songs nd dey flowed perfectly together. 7.5/10

Ziggy - The songs were all over the place. 4/10.

Well that's my review guys. The ones i liked Outta every1s were Trigga, Paco, and Extacys mix. good luck in round 3 to whoever makes it. Cant wait!
