Ive just recently switched from Traktor. Before pulling the trigger and purchasing a new unit, i did a lot of research. The front-runners were Pioneer (all models) and Numark (all models). After extensive testing and using the Pioneer SZ on numerous occasions, I bought the Numark NS7ii (not NS7iii) in September. I have not looked back since. This unit is a BEAST. The Akai MPC pads are a producers dream. The rotating platters are a turntablists "welcome home" statement. The smooth faders, combined with the capacitive touch and built in filter effect puts this unit in a different league. The sound quality is better, putting out approx. 1/8 more output at the same level as the Pioneer SZ. FYI...this unit is built like a tank. If it ever breaks (knock on wood) i'll buy another one, or wait and see what else Numark has up their sleeves.
I had the NS6 a few years ago and loved it. I figured since I've been out of the game for a while the NS series would've fell off but good to see it's still going strong. Gonna have to test it out.
