    Yes, its that time again. Its time for the Mastahpiece Remixing Contest!!

    I will be hosting it and also judging, along with DJ Killa Kev
     and DJ Blaudcee

    Last year had a good turnout, but some people didn't bother turning in mixes when due. If you decide to enter, please be sure to make sure you HAND IN a mix.
    Failure to do so will lead to disqualification.

    In order to qualify and enter, please turn in a mix showing your talents by this Monday (April 18th, 2011).


    E-mail your mixes to
    mastahpieceremixing@gmail.com

    When you email your mixes, please have them properly named. Be sure to include your name in the file name.

    Your mixes will allow us to pair you up properly based on the skills and concepts you depict in your mixes.

    Most people have spring break this next week, so that should mean that a lot of you will have free time to mix!

    Good luck!

    A prize for the winner has not yet been COMPLETELY decided on, but, when one is completely decided on, I will update with what it is.

    Feel free to spread the word to your fellow remixing buddies LOL

    Can't wait to hear what the participants bring to the table. Remember guys, don't be afraid to get creative. If you listen to genre's other than Hindi, Chutney, Soca and Reggae, then you might have a higher chance of winning. For the beginners, study the term "Time Signature", a lot of you are having trouble with timing in your mixes and are bringing in your effects and dropping your beats at the wrong time. Make sure your complete project is NOT distorted so watch the volumes. Good luck!

    i never set one.. but i mean if you hand in something 20 seconds long.. like dont be a douche LOL but dont be a f.aggot and make a 5 minute mix either it'd be great to keep it around 1 - 2 mins

    There were some people that said they were going to enter, and did not enter a mix cause they did not have the time, so with that said, I'm extending the qualification due date till Monday, April 18th, 2011. Please join and get your mixes in!

    LOL i cannot discriminate. Besides, if it was all new DJs, no one would really try to go extra hard, and put all the effort they could into their mixes. Anyway, remember to get your mixes done!
